If you would like to try your hand at painting, be sure to join one of the walk-in workshops in the Van Gogh Museum studio! The workshops are free and suitable for all ages. A workshop instructor will help you to get started.
The walk-in workshops have different themes:
The wind is blowing
Every Saturday in February
The wind is blowing in some of Vincent van Gogh’s paintings: the wheat sways in the wind, or leaves are being blown about. Vincent proves that paint can certainly be used to depict wind. Try for yourself in our studio!
Every Saturday in March, April and May
During the Easter weekend (9 - 22 April) and during the spring school holidays (27 April - 5 May)
Landscapes can be marvellous! David Hockney is fascinated by nature and paints everyday hills, trees and roads in cheerful, vivid colours. Fancy having a go for yourself? Visit the walk-in workshop and set to work with landscapes and watercolours.
