The Van Gogh Museum is located at the Museumplein in Amsterdam. Getting to the museum is easy by public transport, bicycle, car or coach.

The Amsterdam marathon will take place on Sunday 21 October 2018. You may need additional travel time to reach the museum. The course will lead marathon runners through the famous passage at the Rijksmuseum, via the Museum Square to the Vondelpark. Some roads may be closed and public transport may deviate from usual routes.

- Tram 2 or 12.
- Tram 11: change at Leidseplein to tram 2, 5 or 12.
- Metro 52 (Noord/Zuid route) until De Pijp station, change to tram 3 (direction Zoutkeetsgracht) or tram 12 (direction Central station).
- Bus 347, direction Uithoorn.
